I created some photographs at the Stand for Change Rally with Barack Obama last night. According to the Virginian-Pilot newspaper, over 18,000 people were in attendance. As Rep. Bobby Scott said, this had to have been "the biggest political rally in Virginia Beach history." The sheer number of people blew my mind. The line wrapped around the convention center, zig-zagging at that, and trailed down the street. I heard reports that people waited 8 hours to get in. Republican or Democrat, the rally was an incredible reassurance that people still care. (also on Flickr)
