Description

This is a photograph of the Wright Brothers Memorial, located in Kill Devil Hills on the Outer Banks of North Carolina (OBX). The 60-foot granite monument was dedicated in 1932 to honor Wilbur and Orville Wright, who achieved the first successful sustained powered flights in a heavier-than-air machine on December 17, 1903.
